"They Can't Stay Alone": Kohli Reveals The Sita And Geeta Of Indian Team
Virat Kohli said that it is difficult to separate the two from each other as both enjoy each others company, be it dinner time or team discussions.
Young India stars Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill share a unique bond on and off the field, and needless to say, their bromance doesn't need any introduction. The wicketkeeper-batter and the swashbuckling opener enjoy each others company while travelling with team India, especially long tours. Both Ishan and Gill have been part of the Indian team for the last couple years across formats. Now, star batter Virat Kohli opened up on Gill and Kishan's bromance, labelling the two as identical twins.
Kohli said that it is difficult to separate the two from each other as both enjoy each others company, be it dinner time or team discussions.
"Bahut funny hain, Sita aur Geeta (Ishan and Shubman). I have no clue what's going on either. Can't say much but these guy can't stay alone during tours. If we got out for food, they will come together. During discussions as well, they are always together. I haven't seen them alone. They are great friends," Kohli said at an event.
Both Gill and Kishan are currently playing in the ongoing season of IPL 2024.
While Gill is leading Gujarat Titans following the exit of Hardik Pandya, Kishan is playing as a wicketkeeper-batter for Mumbai Indians.
Gill led from the front on Wednesday, scoring 72 as GT handed Rajasthan Royals their first defeat of IPL 2024.
Gill has now scored back-to-back half-centuries, having narrowly missed out on his century against the Punjab Kings last week.
Kishan, however, hasn't really found his mojo for MI this season, having scored just 92 runs in four matches.
The stumped recently lost his BCCI contract for skipping domestic games for Jharkhand. He would need to pull of some turnaround in order to get in India's squad for the T20 World Cup.
As far as Kohli is concerned, he tops the scoring charts in IPL 2024 with a century to his name already. Playing for RCB, he has scored 316 runs in 5 matches at an average of 105.33.
However, RCB have lost four their first five games and currently second to bottom-placed Delhi Capitals.
They face MI on Thursday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
